Aikido for children

"Aikido is not a technique to fight or defeat an opponent. It is a way to reconcile the world and make humanity a family."

(Morihei Ueshiba)

Aikido - fully strong

Concentration, discipline and self-assertion - there is a lot to learn in aikido, but above all it is a lot of fun!

We have no punches and kicks, no brutal attacks and no hard counterattacks. We solve conflicts very differently: with each other, in a cool way. You can learn this through playful practise, and then it not only helps you with quarrels, it makes you strong and confident for life. And what is fun also makes you fit. With the dynamic partner exercises you train your motor skills and endurance, you learn a steady posture and you train your attention and concentration.

Aikido is just right for children, for girls and boys alike. Because in school, on the street, in the media - everywhere it's about who is better, nicer, smarter, faster, more amazing. It's different in Aikido: here everyone can develop and discover their own qualities. With aikido you don't have to be big or strong - it is almost made to deal with a bigger and stronger opponent: you absorb the power of the attacker, redirect it and turn it against him. With aikido you also learn to assess yourself and others and to get on better with yourself and others. Aikido gives you self-confidence.

For children from 3 to ...

We practice in the ages for children: 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 and for adolescents from 12.
Aikido is taught according to the abilities and level of development of the children according to a clear concept.

Smaller children want to play, run around and fight, try out physically, larger children and adolescents need challenges and are looking for confirmation.

Our lessons for aikido for children and adolescents offer all ages the opportunity to guide their natural urge to move into a healthy form. Topics such as courage, body language, perception, dealing with fear and violence are taken up with practical and playful exercises. The children develop their motor skills, improve their coordination, strength, speed and endurance and have a lot of fun doing it.

You can find all children and youth lessons in our Timetable, the prices are also there. A trial lesson is possible at any time and free of charge, just send us an email when you want to come:
kranich{at]dojo-kreuzberg.de.
On Thursday at 3 p.m. there is also a special lesson for children with special needs.

For a trial lesson, long sports pants and a T-shirt are enough and of course the desire for fun and discoveries!
